We Won the Election, Now I Am Being Sued!
With your support we won the 2022 General Election. Now, my Republican opponent has filed a civil lawsuit against me contesting the election result. I was served with this lawsuit on the morning of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. And now, I need your continued generosity and donations to raise money for my campaign’s legal defense fund. Your donation will assist in protecting the Truth of the Election, and to ensure Justice and Fairness in fighting to avoid denying the people’s decisive voice on Tuesday, November 8th, 2022.
With your support, I have given my best to faithfully serve the office of the Presiding Judge of Harris County Criminal Court at Law No. 9. Since our first successful election in November of 2018, we have improved the Harris County criminal justice system by providing new resources to ensure effective indigent defense representation; equal access to justice; increased opportunities for alternative sentencing options; reformed bail practices; created a community care court that seeks to give a fresh start to people who have paid their debt to society and are seeking a “Fresh Start” at life; and much more. We have accomplished so much together, and I need your support more than ever in order to continue our work. Asking for money/fundraising is not my specialty, and is very difficult. Please know that I would not ask if I did not need your help.
My campaign has retained attorney Andy Drumheller of Drumheller, Hollingsworth & Monthy, LLP to fight this election contest. Hearings and legal work have commenced, and legal fees are growing. I am optimistic that we will again be victorious, but I need your Donation Today. My goal is to raise between $15,000 to $20,000 to go towards my campaign’s legal defense fund and campaign support.
